i have to say this. the fountain is the best movie i've seen. period. darren aronofsky is a genius who makes miracles.
i saw it last night and the movie left me in total awe which is seemingly rare nowadays. with a hauntingly beautiful score by clint mansell, the movie is worth more than my 950 cents on movie stub and thought.
when the fountain ended and credits rolled, the movie started to make sense. this is not going to be a movie where you will understand everything. pieces of puzzles fit here and there but the entire picture remains ambiguous but makes sense all at one time.
i don't know how the son of the sky managed to put three excellently beautiful movies out to the world and beyond.
don't waste your cents on any other movie this month because the cents you spend this one will be the one which intrigue will your senses. its been 12 hours since i've watched it and i'm still thinking about it.
one apek left the cinema and told his wife that the fountain was a complete waste of time and was pretty damn bad. oh well at least, he's honest which is as much credit as i can give to him as compared to some pretentious creep. if you get it, you get it. if you don't, don't sweat it. you don't have to pretend like you do.
i shall not say more about the story itself until the world has seen it.
